They will learn how to write ratios from both visual representations and numerical contexts, using real-life and diagram-based examples to build understanding. The lesson covers forming a ratio, simplifying ratios by dividing all parts by a common factor, recognising when it is necessary to convert to the same unit of measurement before simplifying, and writing ratios in the form 1 : n and n : 1.
