2.29 Quadratic and Special Sequence GCSE PowerPoint Lesson
£2.00
In this 32-slide lesson, students will explore quadratic sequences, where the second difference is constant. They will find missing terms and generate terms in a quadratic sequence by substituting into a given nth term formula. Pupils will also work with other special, non-linear sequences such as square numbers, cube numbers, triangular numbers, and the Fibonacci sequence. They will practise identifying these patterns and finding the next terms using reasoning and prior knowledge.
Note this is a foundation lesson and does not include finding the nth term of a quadratic sequence.
The lesson includes:
Clear, guided examples
Discussion opportunities from Think, Pair, Share
Mini whiteboard section to check understanding and clarify misconceptions
Three structured tasks to practise key skills
Challenge activity to extend and deepen learning
Perfect for engaging learners while reinforcing essential algebra concepts.
