3.23 Reflections GCSE PowerPoint Lesson

In this 28-slide lesson, pupils will learn how to perform and describe reflections of shapes on a coordinate grid. They will begin by identifying lines of reflection, including both the x-axis and y-axis as well as diagonal and vertical/horizontal lines such as x = 2 and y = 1. Through guided examples, pupils will practise reflecting shapes accurately by counting perpendicular distances from the mirror line. Pupils will also be encouraged to spot common errors and reason through how reflections affect position and orientation.
